Privacy
Aisles has no accounts, sets no cookies, and runs no advertising or third-party analytics scripts.
What Aisles records
- Page visits: daily counts per page address and format, with the kind of visitor (likely person, known crawler, link preview), the named crawler or AI company if any, and the kind of referring site (for example "an AI assistant" or "a search engine"). IP addresses, cookies and full browser identifiers are not stored.
- Purchase-link clicks: a random click ID, the time, the kind of visitor and referring site, the Aisles page the click came from, and which button wording was shown. Nothing that identifies you.
- Searches: daily counts of the search words, the city chosen and, if you entered a ZIP code, only its first three digits.
- Rate limiting: to limit API use, the connecting address is held in memory for up to a minute and never written down.
Other parties
- Product images load directly from the retailer's servers (for example kroger.com), so that retailer receives the request from your browser, as with any web page that shows its images.
- Purchase links pass briefly through Aisles (to count the click) and then take you to the retailer's site, whose own privacy policy then applies.
- Hosting: the site runs on Fly.io, which handles network connections to it under its own policies.
